Rodney Ferguson appointed senior leader for Norfolk Resort and Casino

The Pamunkey Indian Tribal Gaming Authority has announced Rodney Ferguson as its EVP of gaming and repost operations.
Ferguson will oversee operations for the authority and take a leadership role at the Norfolk Resort & Casino.
Ferguson says he is “Honored the Tribe has put their trust in me to bring their vision of a premier destination resort and casino to an area I know well. It feels great to return home to Virginia and Hampton Roads.”
He brings with him over thirty years of experience in commercial and native gaming sectors; having been CEO, COO and CFO in his most recent position at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino.
In his last role, Ferguson acted as CEO and GM at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino. During his tenure, he oversaw day-to-day management at the company and developed a Tribal Career Development program.
Tim Langston, chairman of Pamunkey Indian Tribal Gaming Authority, said: “He brings decades of experience to our Norfolk casino and understands the mission of our Tribe, and our goal of bringing a world-class casino to the region and investing back into the community.”
Chief of the Pamunkey Tribe, Robert Gray, added: “He understands the business and he understands the community. We couldn’t have found a better combination of talent and integrity.”
The Norfolk Resort & Casino is expected to launch its $500m project later this year, with Ferguson set to start his new role on April 12th.
