Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas introducing new facility in Leggett

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas announced plans to develop its new Naskila Casino Resort facility in Leggett, having received official confirmation from the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) on September 23.
“We have received confirmation from the (NIGC). We had made a petition to them about gaming on Tribal properties outside the reservation in eastern Polk County. The Leggett land is eligible for gaming, so we plan to develop our Naskila Casino Resort there,” Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas Chairwoman Cecilia Flores said.
“I just wanted to give Polk County heads up and inform you of our recent development. We’re very excited about it. It means a whole lot of new jobs, a lot of new opportunities for taxes, income, roads, the whole thing.”

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas debuted the first Naskila Casino in 2016, which currently offers over 900 Class II gaming devices. The Tribe first announced plans to develop a new casino resort facility in April 2024, set to feature a modern casino floor and add 1,000 additional jobs to the community.
Architecture firm FFKR was engaged to design the new Naskila Casino Resort, as plans are currently underway to break ground on the property later in 2025.
