Ocean Casino Resort hosts Fanatics Sportsbook experience with Jay-Z and Michael Rubin

The critically acclaimed rapper and Fanatics Founder & CEO watched the week two NFL regular season games with members of the operator’s loyalty rewards program in Atlantic City.

Fanatics Sportsbook hosted an NFL viewing party experience at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, where well-known rap artist Jay-Z and Fanatics Founder & CEO Michael Rubin watched the week two regular season slate with members of the operator’s One rewards program. 

Jay-Z, or Shawn Carter, played baccarat with members of Fanatics One and also co-hosted the Reform Alliance Casino Night at Ocean Casino Resort on September 13, along with Rubin, Meek Mill, Travis Scott and various professional athletes. 

In June 2025, Jay-Z placed a $1m bet on the NBA Finals through Fanatics sportsbook, with the possibility to pay out over $2m if the Oklahoma City Thunder had defeated the Indiana Pacers in five games.

Fanatics Sportsbook recently extended its consumer base to Missouri through a new multi-year partnership with Boyd Gaming formed on August 25, as the state’s regulated sports betting market is expected to launch in December.

The two operators will also open Fanatics-branded retail sportsbook facilities at Boyd Gaming’s Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City and Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa St. Charles properties in Missouri.

The expansion follows the Missouri Gaming Commission’s approval of direct betting licenses for DraftKings and Circa Sports on August 15, as well as a partnership formed by FanDuel with the St. Louis City SC professional soccer team.
