Absolutebet licensed in Ontario after AGCO registration

Founded in 2024, Absolutebet is relatively new on the scene, and will now be a fresh entry onto the Ontario iGaming scene having secured registration by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
This registration is essential for any iGaming company that wants to run an iGaming platform the Canadian province.
Absolutebet Corp is an Ontario-based company, so achieving the necessary registration to launch itself in the place it has “a special focus on” counts as a major step forward.
“Securing AGCO registration is more than a milestone – it’s the start of Absolutebet’s journey in one of the most exciting regulated markets in the world,” said Chen Truman, Founder of Absolutebet.
He added: “We are building a brand that will grow with the Ontario community and set the stage for future expansion.”
The achievement of this key objective will put the “mobile-first” operator under the oversight of iGaming Ontario (iGO), placing them in the jurisdiction of brand-new iGO President and CEO, Joseph Hillier – the company is completing the final stages of onboarding with iGO now in preparation for launch.
Good to know: The AGCO issued a warning to operators this Summer, reminding them that if a promotional offer is marketed as “free play,” there must be no financial risk to the player
The AGCO registration process has been altered as of July 2025 and it is no longer a requirement for operators to acquire registrar approval for their responsible gaming (RG) programs, though mandatory RG training must still be in place as a condition of the license.
