IGT partners with Corporación Caliente for retail sports betting in LatAm

International Game Technology (IGT) PlaySports has agreed to a multi-year sports betting technology and services partnership with Hipodromo de Agua Caliente and Distribuidora Internacional de Equipos de Juego to extend the supplier’s LatAm offering through Corporación Caliente.
Per the agreement, 42 Caliente sportsbooks in Mexico will begin to utilize the IGT PlaySports platform as well as services from the gaming supplier’s Trading Advisory Services Team. Caliente can also provide certain operators with IGT PlaySports’ technology, extending the innovation’s portfolio to over 100 additional venues across eight LatAm countries.
“Partnering with IGT PlaySports on the rollout of our new retail sports betting offering is an exciting milestone for Corporación Caliente and one that will engage sports enthusiasts in nine countries,” Corporación Caliente CEO Eduardo Hernández Triana said.
“Given IGT’s vast global experience and the versatility and reliability of the IGT PlaySports platform, they are uniquely qualified to help Corporación Caliente level-up its betting offering and deliver even more entertainment to our players.”

“IGT PlaySports is thrilled to expand our technology and service footprint to Mexico and Latin America through our multi-year retail and trading services agreement with Caliente, one of the largest sports betting operators in the region,” IGT SVP of Sports Betting Joe Bertolone said.
“We’ve worked hand-in-hand with the Corporación Caliente team to deliver a future-proofed solution and a complementary trading services program that will meet regional needs, scale with future opportunities and captivate sports fans.”
IGT also agreed to a three-property, sports betting technology and services partnership with GN NV Holdings on February 27, when IGT PlaySports helped power retail and mobile sports betting at Golden Nugget casinos across Nevada.
