Pennsylvania generates record FY gaming revenue with $6.4bn in 24/25

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported the state’s full year gaming revenue for 2024/2025 (FY24/25), having set a new record-high in FY24/25 with a total of nearly $6.4bn, representing an increase of 8.5% from the prior year period.
Retail slot machines and iGaming were the highest grossing gaming types throughout FY24/25, as online gambling platforms reported a total revenue of $2.5bn, while land-based slot games were a close second with $2.4bn generated for the period. The figures equate to increases of 0.1% and 27.1% year-over-year, respectively, also helping to showcase the Keystone State’s apparent preference for mobile-based play.
Parx Casino led all properties with $377.7m in retail slot machine revenue for FY24/25, increasing its total by 0.2% from the prior year period. Wind Creek Bethlehem and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh both eclipsed the $200m for slot machine revenue, reporting $281.8m and $259.4m, respectively, but decreasing 0.9% and 2.3% year-over-year.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course reported the highest iGaming revenue for the period, accounting for a significant $935.8m and increasing 24.6% from the prior year period. Valley Forge Casino Resort was the next closest property for iGaming revenue, witnessing growth of 39.9% year-over-year and generating $675.2m.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia represented the final property in Pennsylvania to report an iGaming revenue above $200m for FY24/25, having generated $411.7m and increasing by 15.4% from the prior year period. Harrah’s Philadelphia and Golden Nugget reported iGaming revenues of $116m and $79.7m for FY24/25, respectively, equating to increases of 13.7% and 102.9% year-over-year.
For retail table games, the offering failed to see similar success to that of its slot counterpart, reporting a decrease in FY revenue of 3% from the prior year period and accounting for $928.9m throughout the period.

Each of Wind Creek Bethlehem, Parx Casino and Live! Casino Philadelphia, which led Pennsylvania properties in retail table game revenue, witnessed decreases year-over-year.
Wind Creek Bethlehem reported a FY24/25 table game revenue of $248m for a decrease of 1.7% from the prior year period, while Parx Casino and Live! Casino Philadelphia reported revenues of $196.4m and $104.2m, respectively, falling by 1.3% and 3.4% year-over-year.
For sports wagering, Pennsylvania bettors generated a FY24/25 handle of $8.7bn, increasing by just over $500m from the prior year period, and leading to a revenue total of $487.6m, growing by 0.2% year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino Resort reported the highest sports wagering revenue of any property, producing $250.3m for an increase of 0.4% from the prior year period.
Hollywood Casino at the Meadows was the only fellow Pennsylvania property to report a sports wagering revenue over $20m for FY24/25, generating $131.2m but decreasing 4.3% year-over-year.
Finally, video gaming terminals (VGTs) and fantasy contests accounted for FY24/25 revenue totals of nearly $41.4m and $19.1m throughout the period, equating to an increase of 0.7% from the prior year period but a mirrored decrease of 0.7% year-over-year for fantasy operators in Pennsylvania.
