North Star Network announces BasketUSA.com and BasketEurope.com acquisitions

Global sports media group North Star Network (NSN) has announced the acquisition of two media platforms, BasketUSA.com and BasketEurope.com.
The company described welcoming these two platforms into the network as “a key milestone in NSN’s expansion into basketball coverage and strengthens its position in the Francophone market.”
NSN said, “This move reflects North Star Network’s ambition to become a global leader in sports media, relying on strong brands, quality journalism and sustainable growth strategies.”
Both sites will retain their editorial teams, “ensuring continuity and preserving the voice and integrity that have defined both brands,” NSN said in a statement.
North Star Network Co-Founder Yann Decoopman celebrated the recent acquisitions by saying, “We are proud to welcome BasketUSA and BasketEurope into the North Star family.
“Their editorial expertise, loyal audience, and deep passion for basketball are a perfect fit for our vision.”
BasketUSA.com launched in 1998. Since its founding, the domain has provided NBA and international basketball news throughout France.
Fabrice Auclert, founder of BasketUSA and co-founder of Eureka Presse, commented, “After more than 25 years of independence, finding a partner that could grow the brand while respecting its DNA was crucial, so we can stay focused on what we do best: journalism. North Star won us over with its professionalism and long-term vision.”
Created in 2010, BasketEurope.com has been a reference for both European and French professional basketball coverage.
