Nevada gaming win eclipses $1.2bn for April 2025

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported the state’s total gaming win for the month of April 2025, having generated just over $1.2bn for a decrease of 0.5% from the prior year period. The Clark County area witnessed a revenue decrease of 1.1% year-over-year for a total of nearly $1.1bn, including a 2.9% fall from the prior year period for the Las Vegas strip area, producing $646.9m of gaming win for April 2025.
For Downtown Las Vegas, gaming win managed to increase by 1% year-over-year to $83.6m, while the North Las Vegas and the Boulder Strip areas reported growth of 4.4% and 8.1% from the prior year period, respectively, totaling $24.9m and $89.9m for April 2025.
Nevada’s Washoe County area also increased gaming win by 4.3% year-over-year for a total of $86.4m throughout the month, as the city of Reno produced $64.7m of revenue for a rise of 9.2% from the prior year period. The Lake Tahoe areas failed to find similar success, however, as North Lake Tahoe and South Lake Tahoe witnessed gaming win decreases of 18.4% and 7.6%, respectively, for April 2025 totals of $1.4m and $16.6m.
Similar to Washoe County, the state’s Elko County area produced $33.2m of gaming win for April 2025, equating to an increase of nearly 7.5% from the prior year period. The Carson Valley area witnessed growth of 1.1% year-over-year, having generated $11.4m of gaming throughout the month. The state also collected just over $68m in percentage fees for April 2025, representing a decrease of 3.2% from the prior year period.

In terms of which gaming types found the most success for April 2025, slot machines generated the highest amount of gaming win with a total of $882.7m, although the figure still represents a decrease of 0.5% year-over-year. Table game revenue also fell by 0.5% from the prior year period, reporting a total of $351.5m for April 2025.
For sportsbooks, mobile betting generated an April 2025 gaming win of $33.2m, representing an increase of 35.3% year-over-year while basketball wagering accounted for $20.9m of revenue, rising by 51.8% from the prior year period. Baseball and ice hockey produced an additional $12.2m and $5.3m of gaming win for April 2025, respectively, equating to an increase of 18.7% from the prior year period and a 6.2% decrease year-over-year.
