David Jacques appointed AGS VP of Table Games Engineering

AGS has announced the appointment of David Jacques as its new VP of Table Games Engineering.
Jacques steps into this new role with previous experience as a Senior Director of Software Development at Light & Wonder, as well as having held the position of Chief Technology Officer at DEQ Systems for 12 years. Now, he will help lead the AGS Table Game Engineering department, as well as assisting in product and design development, product engineering and company-wide technical support.
Commenting on Jacques’ appointment, SVP & General Manager of Table Products, John Hemberger, said, “David’s wealth of experience and proven leadership in table game technology makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
“His expertise in product development, engineering and strategic planning aligns perfectly with AGS’ commitment to delivering exceptional products to our casino partners. We are excited to welcome him aboard as we continue to grow and strengthen our position as a leader in the gaming industry.”
This latest update comes following AGS’ Delaware debut via its partnership with Rush Street Interactive last summer. More recently, the supplier collaborated with FanDuel in February for the release of its first-ever custom online slot game.

Indeed, this $1.1bn acquisition was first proposed to the PlayAGS board in May 2024, with stockholders subsequently voting in favor of the merger in August. Now, the deal has moved into its closing phase, with finalization predicted for the second half of 2025.
