Maryland casino revenue falls 2.6% during February 2025

Maryland Lottery and Gaming has released the state’s casino revenue throughout February 2025, which was reported to be $155.2m during the month, representing a decrease of 2.6% from the prior year period.
Maryland’s six privately owned casinos offer both slot machines and table games, including MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino & Hotel, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Ocean Downs Casino, Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino Resort.
MGM National Harbor was the only property in Maryland to generate an increase in revenue year-over-year during February 2025, rising by 0.1% for a total of $66.9m. Live! Casino & Hotel was the only gaming facility outside of MGM National Harbor to generate more than $15m in revenue for the month, but decreased by 3.9% from the prior year period to $57m.
Horseshoe Casino managed to generate $14.1m during February 2025 while Hollywood Casino accounted for $7.1m, representing decreases of 5.8% and 3.5% year-over-year, respectively. Ocean Downs Casino reported $6.1m of revenue for the month, decreasing by 3.9% from the prior year period, with Rocky Gap Casino witnessing the least revenue of any Maryland property during February – $3.9m – as well as the largest decrease at 10.5% year-over-year.

Casino gaming contributions during the month were reported to be $65.2m, falling by 3.8% from the prior year period, as nearly $47.1m of the contributions were given to the state’s Education Trust Fund. Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where each is located, Maryland’s horse racing industry and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
