Nevada gaming win up 12.54% to $1.44bn in January

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has its gaming revenue figures for January, with total gaming win increasing 12.54% year-over-year to $1.44bn.
This is slightly down from December’s $1.46bn gaming win, which was the highest gaming win in the state’s history, but this still means January 2025’s total takes second place.
Slot machines accounted for the majority of last month’s figure, bringing in $915.3m during the course of last month. This is 3.37% higher than the same period last year, though table, counter and card games saw larger growth at 33.17% to $524.1m.
Looking at the individual areas of the state, Clark County’s gaming win of $1.27bn accounted for 87.9% of the total seen in the Silver State during the opening month of 2025, with this number also representing a rise of 13.26% compared to January 2024.
The Las Vegas Strip, located in Clark County, was the individual area which experienced the largest increase year-over-year at 22.45% to $840.1m, followed shortly by South Lake Tahoe, which saw gaming win rise by 22.37% to $22.3m.

In terms of decreases, only four individual areas saw a drop in gaming win since the same period last year, with North Lake Tahoe experiencing the largest decline at 11.18% to $1.99m.
Approximately $108.7m was collected by the state during February based on the taxable revenues in January, up 8.99% compared to the same period last year.
