Carlos Castro set to take over as COO and CFO of Resorts World Las Vegas

Resorts World Las Vegas has appointed Carlos Castro to the roles of COO and CFO, where he will begin to lead the resort’s financial strategy, operational execution and long-term growth initiatives.
“Carlos is joining Resorts World Las Vegas at a pivotal time, as we continue to invest in the future of this property and solidify our place as a top-tier destination,” Resorts World Las Vegas Board of Directors Chairman Jim Murren said.
“His depth of experience in financial leadership and operations will be instrumental as we execute our strategic vision and drive long-term success. We are confident in his ability to help shape the next phase of growth for Resorts World Las Vegas.”
As COO and CFO, Castro will oversee strategic planning and direction, investment activities and operational efficiencies to ensure competitiveness within the industry. Over the long-term, he will collaborate with the leadership team to expand the resort’s offerings and enhance guest experiences.

Resorts World Las Vegas CEO Alex Dixon, who assumed the position on January 16, spoke on Castro’s appointment as well, having said, “Carlos brings extensive financial and operational expertise that will be invaluable as we continue to elevate Resorts World Las Vegas.
“His leadership will play a key role in driving financial performance, enhancing operational efficiencies and positioning the property for sustained growth and innovation.”
Over the course of his career in the hospitality and entertainment industries, Castro has held senior leadership positions with companies such as Hilton Hotels Corporation, Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International.
He served as SVP and CFO at Aria Resort and Casino, where he led the property to record profitability through operational initiatives, capital investments and effective cost management.
