Brian Sandoval appointed to Resorts World Board of Directors

The former Governor of Nevada was said to have a ‘distinguished’ career in public service, which will bring ‘invaluable expertise’ to Resorts World.

Resorts World Las Vegas has appointed Brian Sandoval to the property’s Board of Directors, having previously served as Nevada’s 30th Governor for eight years as well as Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission. 

“I am honored to join the Board at Resorts World Las Vegas and contribute to the strong foundation they have built,” Sandoval said. 

“This organization has redefined hospitality on the Vegas Strip through its unwavering commitment to deliver exceptional guest experiences. I look forward to working with the team to drive continued success and innovation, ensuring unforgettable moments for all who visit.”

Sandoval will now join Chairman Jim Murren and Directors AG Burnett, Michelle DiTondo and Tan Kong Han, whose appointments were announced on December 5 when Resorts World originally formed its Board of Directors. 

“The Board and I recognize the unique position Resorts World Las Vegas holds at the north end of the Strip, a crown jewel of Vegas that is bursting with potential,” Murren said. 

“To fully capitalize on our vision, we need strong leaders to help us build and drive progress. Brian Sandoval brings the expertise and energy necessary to elevate the property to the next level.”

With his experience working as Director of the Nevada Gaming Commission, Sandoval was said to bring a “unique” perspective on the regulatory and operational aspects of the gaming industry for Resorts World. 

His “distinguished” career in public service will hope to bring “invaluable expertise” to the Board of Directors.

Dixon was appointed as Resorts World Las Vegas CEO on December 5, but officially assumed the position on January 16 following the conclusion of his tenure as CEO at Q Casino & Resort and Dubuque Racing Association.
