Marion Phillips, III and Greg Reimers appointed to the New York Gaming Facility Location Board
The pair join Vicki Been, Stuart Rabinowitz and Carlos Naudon on the Board.

The New York State Gaming Commission has added two new members to the New York Gaming Facility Location Board.
Marion Phillips, III and Greg Reimers were unanimously appointed to the Board, which has responsibility for deciding who will be granted the three available licenses for land-based casinos in the New York Metro region.
With this, the Board now consists of five members, also including Chair Vicki Been, Stuart Rabinowitz and Carlos Naudon.
Marion Phillips, III is currently the Senior Vice President for Community Development and DEI at US News & World Report, while previously he has served as the Senior Vice President of Community Relations at New York State’s Empire State Development and oversaw the Harlem Community Development Corporation as well as its Community Affairs department.
On the other hand, Greg Reimers’s career was mainly within the real estate finance space before retiring, with his last role, which ended in March 2023, being as a Managing Director and Market Manager with JPMorgan Chase, and prior to that was Executive Vice President at The Bank of New York.

New York State Gaming Commission Chair Brian O’Dwyer said, “We are proud to appoint these consummate professionals to the Gaming Facility Location Board.
“The Board’s important work of selecting up to three casino proposals will have a lasting impact on our state and Mr. Phillips and Mr. Reimers have the expertise and experience to conduct thorough evaluations of the projects.
“I thank them and the entire Gaming Facility Location Board for their ongoing work and service to New York State.”
In other news from the state, New York Senator Joseph Addabbo last week introduced a bill in an attempt to legalize iGaming for casinos, video lottery terminal facilities, online sports betting operators and Tribes located within the state.
