Bellagio submits plans for new entertainment and retail expansion
The company recently filed documents for the project in Clark County.
The Bellagio has unveiled pending plans to expand its property, according to a recent Las Vegas KTNV local news report.
The destination recently submitted documents to Clark County for a new project called ‘Project Mojave.’ The proposed expansion would add another 400,000 sq. feet of entertainment and retail space on the south side of Bellagio Drive, the local report said.
The Clark County documents showed that the renovation would involve changes to the existing Bellagio entrance lobby, as well as remodeling the ground-level bus drop-off area and the current parking garage.
“The proposed building is designed to maintain access to the existing porte cochère, existing drop-off and taxi queues as well as the existing parking garages,” the documents said.
Other updates would include “retail, personal services, bars and restaurants with outside dining and drinking, dayclub and nightclub, recreational and entertainment facility and live entertainment.”
Last year, The Bellagio revealed plans for an estimated $110m project to renovate all its 819 guest rooms and 104 suites within the Spa Tower. Champalimaud Design partnered with MGM Resorts International Design Group to provide custom furnishings throughout the space.
Inspiration for the project came from “the beauty and tranquility of Italy’s Lake Como,” The Bellagio said.
The Bellagio Fountain Club played host to the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix’s Winners Stage last November. Following this, the casino replaced the trees in front of the casino in order to restore its previous landscaping.
