IGT wins video lottery terminal contract in Ohio
The company will work with the state lottery commission to offer its Intelligen hardware and software.
IGT has won “a competitive bidding process” in the state of Ohio that will allow the company to provide a contract to the Ohio Lottery Commission’s video lottery terminal (VLT) central monitoring system.
More specifically, the agreement gives IGT the ability to provide the state’s VLTs with its Intelligen central monitoring systems hardware and software. This will provide the Buckeye State’s 10,000 video lottery terminal machines distributed throughout seven racinos with continual support and monitoring.
The contract took effect at the end of last month and will run through June 30 2033. The deal allows the state of Ohio the option to renew the agreement for “up to two additional one-year terms.”
Casinos that will benefit from this contract include Belterra Park Cincinnati, Eldorado Scioto Downs, Jack Thistledown Racino, Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course, MGM Northfield Park and Miami Valley Gaming.
COO of Gaming Nick Khin said IGT is eager to team up with the Buckeye State’s Lottery Commission on this project.

In related news, IGT’s subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, recently signed a contract extension with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation.
The duo has agreed to continue its partnership for another three years. Mississippi lottery players will have access to the duo’s instant ticket services and online gaming systems through December 1 2029.
