Maryland Casino Revenue Falls 4.3% to $148.5M in February 2026
Maryland’s six casinos generated $148.5 million in combined gaming revenue in February 2026, resulting in a revenue setback
Maryland’s six casinos produced $148,493,335 in combined slot machine and table game revenue during February 2026. The total represents a decline of $6,656,962, or 4.3%, compared to February 2025.
It continues a pattern of modest year-over-year softness that has persisted across the state’s gaming market. This news breaks as Maryland lawmakers consider adding online casinos in 2026, to help boost revenue.
Casino gaming contributions to the state for the month totaled $63,635,265, down 2.4% from the prior year. Of that figure, $45,924,029 was directed to the Education Trust Fund, a decrease of 2.5% compared to February 2025.
MGM National Harbor Leads, Live! Sees Steepest Decline
MGM National Harbor remained the state’s top-performing property by a significant margin. The Prince George’s County casino, operating 2,270 slot machines and 214 table games, posted $64,843,857 for the month. That figure represents a 3.1% decrease from February 2025 but still accounts for more than 43% of total statewide revenue.
Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County came in second with $52,007,713. However, it recorded the steepest year-over-year decline among the six properties, falling 8.8% from the prior February. Live! operates the state’s largest gaming floor by machine count, with 3,739 slot machines and 179 table games.
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore was one of only two properties to post a year-over-year gain. The Baltimore City property generated $14,240,642, up 1.1% from February 2025, operating 1,400 slot machines and 115 table games.
Smaller Properties Post Mixed Results
Hollywood Casino Perryville generated $6,860,557 for the month, a decline of 4.0% from the prior year. The Cecil County property operates 647 slot machines and 18 table games, making it one of the smaller venues in the state’s portfolio.
Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County delivered the strongest year-over-year performance of any property in February. The casino posted $4,230,942, an increase of $346,316, or 8.9%, compared to February 2025. Rocky Gap operates 627 slot machines and 12 table games.
Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County rounded out the six-property market.
Fiscal Year Trend Points to Continued Softness
The February results extend a year-long trend of declining revenue across Maryland’s commercial gaming market. Through the first eight months of Fiscal Year 2026, covering July 2025 through February 2026, the six casinos have generated a combined $1,264,440,712. That total is down 2.2% compared to the same period in FY2025.
State contributions over the same eight-month stretch reached $543,157,515, a decrease of 1.4% year-over-year.
The persistent declines remain modest rather than dramatic, but they reflect a market that has not found a growth catalyst since online gaming revenue was excluded from the state’s calculation base.
Casino revenues continue to support the Education Trust Fund as its primary state beneficiary, along with local jurisdictions, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority-owned, and women-owned businesses. Maryland Lottery and Gaming oversees regulatory compliance for all six properties and publishes monthly revenue reports at mdgaming.com.
