His change in role is one of several in a shuffle of executive leaders.

Gil Rotem is set to become President of IGT PlayDigital following a re-shuffle of executive and Board leaders within the company (he was previously the company's President of iGaming).

Others set to see a change in role include Marco Drago, who will step down from the role of non-executive director of the Board of Directors. Enrico Drago has been appointed to take his role as a non-executive director of the Board, leaving his role as CEO of IGT PlayDigital.

Rotem and Enrico Drago’s new roles will come into effect as of April 1, while Marco Drago will conclude his term until IGT’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 14.

On the shift in leadership, IGT Executive Chair of the Board Marco Sala said, "As Marco Drago prepares to step down from his position on the IGT Board of Directors, I'd like to thank him for his many years of service and his unwavering commitment to driving results and creating value for all IGT stakeholders.

"Enrico Drago joining the Board and leaving his executive leadership position at IGT is a natural evolution that supports the Company's vision for its next era of growth and transformation."

Enrico Drago added, "Over the last five-plus years, IGT PlayDigital has established leadership positions in the global iGaming and North American sports betting sectors that will be foundational to the Company's future successes. I thank the entire IGT PlayDigital team for all that we have accomplished in this time."

Rotem joined IGT PlayDigital in 2021, being appointed as President of iGaming. His previous experience had included tenures with 888.com and bet365. Enrico Drago also took on the role of CEO of PlayDigital in 2021, having previously been the division's SVP.

Marco Drago, father of Enrico, has been a non-executive Director of the IGT Board since 2015, with over 50 years of experience in varying professional roles as part of company Boards.
