The three-member Board will discuss the matter at their upcoming monthly meeting held on 2 Dec.
Last week Clark County District Court judge Adriana Escobar sided with Wynn, arguing that the NGCB overstepped its boundaries when in 2019 it sought to declare Wynn unsuitable for operation of a casino or gaming business in the state.
Escobar argued that the Board lacks the jurisdiction to give out such an order because Wynn had resigned as CEO and chairman of the board of his namesake casino in 2018 and no longer participates in Nevada gaming operations.
Escobar wrote “Because Petitioner has no material involvement, directly or indirectly, with a licensed gaming operation, this Court finds that Respondents have no jurisdiction to impose discipline or fines against Petitioner.”
Wynn resigned two months after the Wall Street Journal ran an article detailing allegations of sexual misconduct against the billionaire. He has denied he ever acted inappropriately.
