Players can compete to win more than $2.5m in prizes.

New York’s Turning Stone Resort will hold the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Event from March 14 to March 25. Turning Stone has hosted the tournament for the past three years.

For this year’s tournament, WSOP has raised the prize by $1m. Players can get in on a chance to take home a guaranteed total payout of more than $2.5m during the 2024 tournament.

Turning Stone outlined its prize details further by saying, “The 2024 tournament will feature a mix of thrilling new events and the return of players’ favorite events with even higher guarantees.

“Turning Stone has added a $1 million guaranteed event to the WSOP Circuit series, which will begin on March 21.”

The destination went on to add that this year’s event is expected to bring thousands of poker fans.

Turning Stone said, “The most prestigious poker tournament in the world will attract several thousand people to the region to compete for more than $2.5m, 18 WSOP Gold Rings, the trophy of the WSOP Circuit event, and a seat in the $1m Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas this summer.”

The $2.5m prize pool represents the minimum, the casino said. Players can walk away with larger actual payouts. During last year’s tournament, poker players took home more than $5m overall.

WSOP is the world’s longest-running poker tournament. The free-to-play poker game has been going on since 1970.

Since its beginnings, the tournament has evolved to include online elements, including social media. WSOP has launched campaign initiatives designed to reach potential tournament players through various social media platforms.

During a recent campaign, WSOP allowed 14 social media influencers to compete and earn the title of WSOP Legend.
