ProhiBet aims to be key in ensuring sports integrity is upheld.

Action 24/7 and ProhiBet have announced a partnership, with ProhiBet’s decentralized cross-monitoring and notification platform being utilized by Action 24/7.

ProhiBet’s system will aim to prevent specific individuals, such as athletes, coaches, league officials and administration from engaging in prohibited sports wagering.

The technology used by ProhiBet is used by sports properties and sportsbook operators to ensure athletes, coaches and league/school administrative staff remain within the state regulations regarding sports betting activities.

There seems to be an extra need for these sorts of measures, with the last couple of months seeing a number of incidents involving athletes receiving suspensions, including five NFL players for violations of gambling policies, Shane Pinto for gambling-related offences and two golfers for betting.

Action 24/7’s President, Tina Hodges, said: "In the fast-paced world of online sports gambling, there's nothing more important than having trustworthy and innovative partners in compliance, like ProhiBet.”

Managing Director of ProhiBet, Matt Heap, added: “We’re thrilled to partner and collaborate with the fantastic team at Action 24/7 – the combination of ProhiBet's state-of-the-art encrypted data transfer system and Action 24/7 dedication to upholding the integrity of sports will undoubtedly enhance the transparency and trustworthiness of current and future prohibited bettors.”

Last week, Tipico Sportsbook announced an extension to its partnership with ProhiBet, with a focus on regulatory compliance and data security.

ProhiBet’s service was integrated into the Tipico platform as part of the deal, aiming to help prevent student-athletes, coaches and staff from taking part in prohibited sports wagering on Tipico in the US.
