The Illinois Gaming Control Board has released its November casino revenue results. During the month, the state’s 15 casinos pulled in an adjusted gross revenue total of $130.4m.
November casino revenue statewide rose by 1% when compared to results from October.
Rivers Casino led the pack in total revenue during the month of November, taking in a total of nearly $43.5m in adjusted gross receipts. Other heavy hitters during the month were Grand Victoria Casino and Harrah's Joliet Casino & Hotel, which brought in AGRs of $12.8m and $10m respectively.
The state’s casinos earned a combined total of nearly $33.1m from table games during the month of November and contributed $33.7m in state taxes. Illinois’ casinos paid out another $7.8m in local taxes.
Slot machines during the month of November earned $97.2m in combined revenue throughout Illinois’ casinos. Rivers Casino grabbed the top spot as the highest earner for both slots and for table games in November.
The state’s newest casino, Bally’s Chicago yielded similar results last month when compared to numbers from October. Bally’s Chicago posted $7.6 million in November revenue.
The temporary Chicago casino at Medinah Temple welcomed its first guests on September 9. Bally’s said Medinah Temple will function as a temporary casino during the next few years until construction on a permanent casino is completed.
Bally’s said it anticipates opening a permanent Chicago casino by 2026. The new venue will be home to 4,000 gaming positions, as well as to an exhibition hall, 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat theater and 10 restaurants.
