NFL fans can meet the former Seattle Seahawk as well as potentially win prizes and bonus bets.

The Oregon Lottery and DraftKings Sportsbook are hosting a watch party in Portland with special guest, and former Seattle Seahawk, Cliff Avril for the Seahawks vs Dallas Cowboys game tomorrow. The event will be held on November 30 at The Independent Sports Bar & Grill and the game starts at 5:15 that evening.

Kerry Hemphill, Oregon Lottery’s Sports Betting Product Manager, said, “We’re excited to offer a fun, fan-focused event to celebrate the football season and build on that momentum.”

Cliff Avril played as a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks between 2013 and 2017, and he was part of the team’s Super Bowl XLVIII win in 2014 as well as the Pro Bowl game in Orlando in January 2017. He was the first player in NFL history to win a Super Bowl after having played on a winless team.

Fans who attend the Portland watch party will have the chance to meet Avril as well as win prizes. Eligible customers of DraftKings Sportsbook, which is the only licensed online sports betting offering through the Oregon Lottery, may also earn bonus bets.

Though mobile sports betting was introduced by the Oregon Lottery in 2019, DraftKings was chosen as the organization’s official partner in January 2022. DraftKings players may take advantage of multiple different sports wagering types such as same-game parlays, player props and special odds boost selections.

Earlier this month, the Oregon Lottery reported returning nearly $900m in funding to the state as of fiscal year 2023. Players in the Beaver State have also wagered over $27m during NFL season so far this year.
