Scientific Games signs five-year contract with Massachusetts Lottery
Extended deal includes digital services, second-chance games.
Scientific Games Corporation has signed a new five-year contract with the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission (MSLC) – continuing a long-running relationship.
The Las Vegas-based supplier said it will provide the Massachusetts Lottery (Mass Lottery) with its instant games, second-chance promotions and digital engagement programs.
The new contract, which may be extended by up to two years by MSLC, has been expanded to include consumer digital services that will include second-chance game features.
Scientific Games noted it currently creates and produces 96% of the Mass Lottery’s instant games. In fiscal year 2020, the company said its products generated $3bn of the Mass Lottery’s $3.6bn in total instant game retail sales.
“The combined expertise of the Mass Lottery team and the teams at Scientific Games has resulted in great instant game entertainment that has generated strong revenue to benefit programs in the Commonwealth,” Ed Farley, MSLC CMO, said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing this partnership and working to expand player digital engagement.”
Scientific Games produced the Mass Lottery’s first instant game in 1974. The supplier says more and more players are moving to digital games played through desktop and mobile applications.
