New Hampshire reports $77.8m in October sports betting handle
Gross gaming revenue, meanwhile, reached $8.8m.
The New Hampshire Lottery has reported its latest sports betting figures for October 2023, underlining a year-over-year decrease of 14.8% in total sports betting handle to $77.8m.
Though this represents a decrease from the same period last year, there has been an increase from last month, where total sports betting handle in September 2023 was valued at $66.8m, with October’s figure the highest since March of this year, when total sports betting handle was set at $103.4m.
The impact of the NHL was palpable here.
Of the $77.8m total, 84.6% ($65.9m) of it derived from mobile sports betting, with around $12m coming from retail sports betting.
From July 2023 to October 2023, the total sports betting handle recorded in New Hampshire reached $220.4m. From July 2022 to October 2022, total sports betting handle was $255.6m.
The combined total of gross gaming revenue for New Hampshire for October 2023 was $8.8m, representing a 3.3% decrease year-over-year, though it was up from September this year, when it was set at $6.2m.
Gross gaming revenue from mobile sports betting was $8.4m alone for October 2023, representing around 96.2% of total gross gaming revenue for the month.
The state’s revenue share from sports betting in October 2023 was valued at $3.8m.
There are currently four sportsbook locations in the Granite State, all run by DraftKings, with plans discussed back at the end of October that included a vote over whether a sportsbook gambling site would be allowed in the city of Rochester.
