The Missouri casino says 'so long, partner' to its western theme as it modernizes and adds new gaming machines.

St Jo Frontier Casino, aptly located in St Joseph, Missouri, has undergone a remodel and will hold a grand re-opening Friday December 1. The upgrade aims to modernize the venue, which used to have a more western-themed interior.

The casino will now have new flooring, updated bars, new chandeliers and other new décor, as well as the addition of several new gaming machines. A ribbon-cutting and giveaways will be part of Friday’s festivities, and continue into the weekend.

Owned by Affinity Gaming, St Jo Frontier Casino is part of a group that also includes: Mark Twain Casino (LaGrange, Missouri), Lakeside Hotel Casino (Osceola, Iowa), Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas, Nevada) as well as Primm Valley Casino Resorts, Buffalo Bills Resort & Casino and Whiskey Pete’s Hotel & Casino (all located in Primm, Nevada).

VP and General Manager Donald Wren said, “I think this upgrade will bring some people back that haven't been here in a while, and bring people here that haven't been here at all. Also, some of the individuals that are in between us and the city, that may be in the city for a bit of a different experience, may start to migrate back here as well.

“Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we're giving away $10,000, we encourage everyone to come down and see the new place.”

Casino goers looking to play before the grand re-opening can still visit the property during its last-touch renovations. St Jo’s Frontier Casino currently offers table games, slots, video poker and an A-Play Club loyalty program.

Becky Voyles, Gaming Operations Director, said, “In addition to the new games that we've added and the new themes, I wanted to accentuate that our progressive jackpots have reached high totals.”
