IGT has received another responsible gaming accreditation from the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4) for its continuing efforts to affirm safe gambling through both its PlayDigital and Global Gaming operations.
G4 audited IGT by examining the company’s corporate standards, responsible gaming code of conduct, training, player protection tools and operation code of practice prior to issuing its latest accreditation.
IGT SVP of Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Wendy Montgomery discussed the company’s ongoing commitment to responsible gaming throughout its history.
She said, "Responsible gaming is embedded into the core of IGT's business and receiving this G4 accreditation for our Global Gaming and PlayDigital product offerings demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our Sustainable Play initiatives.
"IGT was the first industry supplier to earn G4 accreditation for gaming and digital responsible gaming excellence, and the first in the US to be accredited for sports betting. IGT will continue upholding itself and our partners to the highest responsible gaming standards as we promote positive play for all."
The company was awarded its first G4 accreditation in 2017 for its gaming operations. IGT has since earned accreditations in 2019 and 2022 for its digital solutions and sports betting business respectively.
G4 Board of Directors Chairman Pieter Remmers took a moment to commend IGT for its responsible gaming efforts around the globe.
He commented, "IGT has showcased its responsible gaming commitment and industry leadership year after year, and G4 is pleased to recognize the company's Global Gaming and PlayDigital operations with accreditation again.
"We applaud IGT's critical responsible gaming efforts and appreciate all that the company does to maintain the integrity of gaming globally."
