Hard Rock Hotel & Casino employees in Biloxi, Mississippi have served lunch to those in need at nonprofit organization Back Bay Mission, in an annual show of support for its community.
The casino partnered with Feeding the Gulf Coast, also working together to fill hundreds of backpacks with nonperishable food for students in the area.
Hard Rock GM Todd Raziano said, “It’s just heartwarming. You know, it’s holiday time. It’s a time to give back.
“I’ve been with the Hard Rock coming up on 18 years, and this is our 17th year, and I’ve been here every year. What we see on the faces of people here is gratitude. They’re so gracious.”
Hard Rock Atlantic City also recently raised over $164,000 for ‘Pinktober’ during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in June both Hard Rock and the Seminole Tribe were granted the Freedom Award from anti-human trafficking organization, PACT (Protect All Children From Trafficking) for their commitment to the cause.
The Hard Rock Heals Foundation also began in 2016 with a goal to “improve lives with the healing power of music.” In March, the organization held a relief benefit for the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Raziano commented about his 17th year serving meals at Back Bay Mission with Hard Rock, “You know, you walk out of here feeling like you really did something kind and good for good people.”
On Wednesday, California’s Eagle Mountain Casino also provided food to its community, by partnering with JR Meat Company to donate 100 turkeys to the Salvation Army of Tulare County.
Salvation Army Major Julio Vasquez said, “This partnership that we have with Eagle Mountain Casino really helps us to help families in need, especially during the holidays.”
