The news comes after sports betting went live in the State today.

Caesars Entertainment has announced the launch of its flagship sports wagering platform, Caesars Sportsbook, which is now accepting sports wagers on both mobile and desktop in Maine.

This announcement comes after legal sports betting officially went live today in the Pine Tree State, after the bill to allow sports betting was approved by Governor Janet Mills in May of 2022, becoming law in August of last year.

President of Caesars Digital, Eric Hession, gave his thoughts after the launch of the sportsbook: “Maine sports fans deserve an elevated sports wagering experience that matches the pedigree of sports fandom in New England.

“The launch of Caesars Sportsbook delivers on that pedigree with a platform built for the modern sports fan 21 and older with exciting ways to wager responsibly on the sports they love. We’d like to thank Gov. Janet Mills and the Maine Legislature for making this launch possible, as well as the Maine Gambling Control Unit for all they have done throughout this process.”

The launch of the sportsbook has come about through Caesars’ partnership with the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, the Mi’kmaq Nation and the Penobscot Nation.

The Caesars Sportsbook app will feature a reward scheme where with every wager placed, players can earn Tier Credits that contribute to status and Reward Credits, which can be used on Caesars Rewards experiences like discounted getaways at some of its destinations across North America, for example.

Alongside this launch of the sportsbook in Maine, Caesars Entertainment has made a donation to the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund, established by the Maine Community Foundation, to support those affected by the events that took place on October 25.
