FreedomPlay wireless flashboard released

Let freedom reign as Video King unveils the FreedomPlay, our new wireless flashboard, using state-of-the-art gaming technology.

A dazzling display, set in vivid colors with dynamic animations, the wireless flashboard frees you up from excess cabling, labor, maintenance and other costs. In addition, you’ll have the luxury of showcasing your own advertisements and multi-media presentations, customizable game display options, higher-resolution graphics featuring “Champ,” our canine mascot, and other visual elements, upping the excitement and enhancing your hall’s entire entertainment value.

The sky’s the limit too as you can virtually display your bingo game on as many screens, at any size, as you’d like. You’re free to choose the make, model and dimensions, as long as it’s high-definition TV, with HDMI port, standard for video transmission.

“The FreedomPlay offers our customers a whole new player experience, giving them the freedom to do what they want,” says Peggy Hansen, Video King’s regional sales and bingo hall equipment manager. “The graphics, with better quality animation, are a big portion of its appeal, offering a high-definition view of the board. Unique features include spinning bingo cards, flashing last number called, last 10 balls called, winner notifications and other fun elements designed to entertain the crowd.”

For more variety, customers have their choice of seven flashboard themes: Max Contrast, Inverted, Traditional, Classic, 5-Color (as seen on the CHAMP-e tablets), Flowers and Shamrocks, so they’re not locked into just one scenario.

In addition, customers can add their own logos and scrolling message to display across the screen, whether be it promotions, daily specials or other important announcements, which can be edited in real time at the hall level.

The total entertainment package, the FreedomPlay flashboards can also be used for TV programs, by switching the source input on the remote control, and/or in-hall advertising and other forms of entertainment to generate more revenue for the hall.

“As far as installation, this product will be a much simpler process to install compared to our previous version of a high-definition flashboard,” Hansen said. “However, Video King’s 24-hour help desk is always available if anyone ever needs assistance.”

The FreedomPlay software package includes a small, hand-held device, which plugs into the back of each screen used. Customers will provide their own TVs.

System Requirements

The wireless system can run on any Video King console, equipped with PowerPlay software*, which meets the following requirements:

  • Series 16 or above PowerPlay desk
  • Server software 2012 or 2016 for networked environments
  • Minimum e-Bos version 5.3.0.17
  • Minimum Windows 7 or 10
  • The system can also be hard-wired, via a Cat 5 cable

*FreedomPlay also integrates with the VeriPowerPlay, Video King’s laptop verifier.

“The FreedomPlay wireless flashboard is so much better than what we had in the past. I am excited about the future as we evolve and the big things that will come,” Hansen adds.

A great entertainment value for any-sized hall, the FreedomPlay flashboard is a cost-effective solution to traditional wallboards, so you’re free to spend your money elsewhere.
