DraftKings has announced plans to launch an online sportsbook in Maine through a deal with the Passamaquoddy Tribe.
The agreement has been reached in principle, but is still subject to licensing and regulatory approvals. Sports betting will go live in Maine on November 3, 2023.
The agreement between DraftKings and the Passamaquoddy Tribe will allow sports fans in Maine to access DraftKings’ sportsbook app, which includes a variety of wagering options including pre-match and in-game options as well as same-game-parlay features.
Additionally, in response to the tragic events that occurred in Lewiston, Maine on October 25, DraftKings will be donating $100,000 to Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund to support those affected.
100% of every dollar donated will be allocated to the people impacted and the organizations that will help guide Lewiston-Auburn through the process of healing.
