The company will have access to optical tracking data powered by the NBA.

BetMGM and Sportradar have expanded their partnership to include access to services and products that will be fueled by official NBA optical tracking data. Both companies signed a new deal that will give BetMGM tracking data and next-generation products for the first time through Sportradar’s partnership with the NBA.

As a result, BetMGM can potentially enhance its same-game parlay portfolio, as well as grow its prop markets.

BetMGM Chief Product Officer Jarrod Schwarz summarized the duo’s prior successes and said the company is confident that this trend will continue.

He commented, “Sportradar’s league data has enabled BetMGM to enhance our product offerings since we first partnered with them in 2018.

“We expect the upcoming NBA season to be outstanding and look forward to leveraging this data for years to come.”

Sportradar CCO Eduard Blonk expressed the company’s desire to support its NBA partnership while providing important data to BetMGM.

He said, “We’re pleased our value-add products and services will unlock the potential of NBA optical tracking data for BetMGM, while supporting the return-on-investment of our partnership with the NBA.”

Sportradar recently gained a temporary sports wagering services license for its US betting subsidiary Sportradar Solutions from the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission. The company currently holds 47 licenses or equivalents throughout North America.

Sportradar provides its services “to a wide range of clients operating within these jurisdictions, advancing transparency and integrity, and delivering accurate sports data to sanctioned sports betting and gaming agencies.”

BetMGM has also gained ground in Kentucky through the recent launch of its online and mobile sports betting app. Kentucky opened its online commercial market on September 28.
