Deal comes one day after sports betting goes live in Tennessee.

FanDuel and National Basketball Association (NBA) side the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a multi-year partnership, making FanDuel an official sports betting partner and the exclusive official daily fantasy partner of the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies noted this is the team’s first partnership with a sports betting operator, while FanDuel said it represented the company’s first partnership with an NBA team for sports betting.

FanDuel will have access to official Grizzlies marks and logos to use across its online sports betting and daily fantasy sports products.

Going forward, the operator will be able to place marketing assets promoting its sports betting offerings in areas relating to the team, including in-arena signage at FedEx Forum, and radio, television and digital advertising.

FanDuel will be a presenting sponsor of the team’s home and away television broadcasts.

Sports betting went live in Tennessee on 1 November.

“As we expand sportsbook into Tennessee, partnering with the Grizzlies was a no-brainer given the team’s popularity and long-standing success, as well as their shared mindset of being absurdly fan-focused,” said Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel CMO.

“We are thrilled to have FanDuel as our first sports betting marketing partner and as our exclusive daily fantasy partner,” said Jason Wexler, president, Memphis Grizzlies. “Grizzlies fans are among the most passionate in the NBA and we are looking forward to helping them find new ways to access their sports fandom.”
