He will begin his new role next month. Will the appointment proved an Inspired one?

Inspired Entertainment has appointed Sports and iGaming executive Ian Freeman to serve as the company’s new Chief Commercial Officer of Virtuals. Freeman will officially take his position starting November 16.

Freeman has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of sports and iGaming. Prior to his new position with Inspired, Freeman worked for FSB as its Chief Revenue Officer, where he oversaw global market expansion, as well as customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth.

Company President and CEO Brooks Pierce commented on Freeman’s appointment by saying, “Ian’s extensive background in the sports betting industry, including leadership roles at Kambi, IGT and FSBTech as Chief Revenue Officer, is invaluable to our team.

"With a proven track record in commercial, operational and technical areas, Ian brings the perfect balance of capabilities needed to elevate our Virtual Sports business to the next level. Virtual Sports is a key driver of the growth strategy of Inspired and we are excited to add Ian to this key leadership role.”

Pierce went on to thank outgoing CCO Steve Rogers, who served the company for 25 years. Rogers stepped down as CCO to “pursue other opportunities.”

Pierce said in closing, “I would like to thank Steve for his many contributions to the Company over the years. He has been a big part of our success. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Inspired recently expanded its existing partnership with FanDuel to distribute its iGaming content throughout North America. The duo will deliver key titles to players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and the Canadian province of Ontario.

Players will have access to Inspired’s games through FanDuel, including Big Fishing LaFortune, Big Spin Bonus, Gold Cash Free Spins and Scarab Fortunes Win & Spin.
