Two New York City law firms filed class-action lawsuits against the Las Vegas Sands Corporation this week, making the same allegations as a suit filed last week by the law firm of Pomerantz LLP.
The Pomerantz firm’s suit alleged defendants made “false and/or misleading statements” and/or failed to disclose that Marina Bay Sands, a Las Vegas Sands resort in Singapore, had “weaknesses” relating to fund transfers. It went on to allege the casino was “prone to illicit fund transfers that implicated, among other issues, the transfer of customer funds to unauthorized persons and potential breaches in the Company's anti-money laundering procedures.”
All of the allegations pertain to the period of Feb. 27, 2016, to Sept. 15, 2020, inclusive.
This week, two more law firms filed class action suits, making virtually the same allegations over the exact same time period: Rosen Law Firm and Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC. Both are headquartered in New York City.
Pomerantz LLP also is based in Manhattan.
