Caesars Entertainment said it will resume operations at The Cromwell on Oct. 29 – joining the rest of the properties on the Las Vegas Strip in reopening.
Nevada state officials allowed casinos to get back to business June 4, but large operators such as Caesars and MGM Resorts reopened properties in stages as consumer demand has slowly resumed.
With The Cromwell, Caesars is emphasizing the “boutique” nature of the hotel, and declaring it will be the “first adults-only resort on the Las Vegas Strip.” Entry to the hotel and gaming area will be limited to guests 21 years and older, although people of any age will be allowed into GIADA, the namesake restaurant of celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis.
The company previously reopened Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah's Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, Bally's Las Vegas, The LINQ Hotel + Experience, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, as well as The LINQ Promenade, High Roller Observation Wheel, FLY LINQ and Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck.
“The first standalone boutique hotel on the Strip, The Cromwell brings an exclusive, elevated lifestyle experience to the destination, focusing on hospitality, amenities and personalized service," said Senior Vice President and The Cromwell General Manager Ken Janssen, who added there will be a “continued emphasis” on “enhanced health and safety protocols.”
The Cromwell – on the site of the former Barbary Coast Hotel at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road – has just 188 rooms, including 19 suites, and a 40,000-square-foot casino.
When it reopens its doors, The Cromwell will debut its newly branded William Hill Sports Book, which will have self-service sports betting kiosks and an expanded betting menu featuring live, in-play wagering.
