The goal is to fortify both the sports betting and iGaming industries.

Internet Vikings has teamed up with Cloudflare to improve its cybersecurity measures in the iGaming market. Company clients can benefit from added protection against DDoS attacks by using CloudFlare Magic Transit protections.

Internet Vikings CEO Rickard Vikström discussed the company’s focus on serving its clients with improved online security features.

He commented, “We are always in search of new opportunities to deliver more comprehensive services to our clients. I am convinced that equipping our systems with Cloudflare is the best step for Internet Vikings to have taken towards improving cyber security within the industry.

“It will not only allow businesses to avoid financial and reputational damage but guarantee the players a better and uninterrupted gaming experience.”

Cloudflare’s global network is present in more than 100 countries and in 300 cities.

Company Vice President EMEA Andy Lockhart noted the importance of iGaming companies taking significant steps toward establishing and maintaining a safe and secure gaming space for players.

Lockhart said, “Protecting the sports betting and iGaming industry requires businesses like Internet Vikings to have a robust cybersecurity and performance solution.

“There are an increasing number of attacks across the industry, with Cloudflare blocking on average 124 billion cyber threats each day globally.”

Internet Vikings recently launched in two more US states, Kentucky and North Carolina, adding to the more than 30 states that offer the company’s platform. The group said the expansion “reaffirms its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the industry.”

Kentucky and North Carolina have passed laws that will allow for statewide online sports wagering. Kentucky plans to go live this fall, and North Carolina is scheduled to open its commercial market early next year.
