The Potawatomi Nation casino was approved for a retail sportsbook in July and will include both kiosks and bar top betting technology from Kambi.

Prairie Band Casino & Resort, located in Mayetta, Kansas, has signed a partnership with sportsbook supplier, Kambi. This agreement will provide the state of Kansas with its first Tribal sportsbook, operated by the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

Kristian Nylén, Co-Founder and CEO of Kambi, said, “We’re very proud to partner with Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation’s Casino and Resort as we continue to support Tribes in their sports betting endeavors.

“Their long-standing reputation in Kansas, combined with our award-winning sports betting technology, will create a one-of-a-kind experience for their current customers while also attracting a whole new demographic.”

Kambi was named Sportsbook Supplier of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas in 2022.

The casino was approved for an on-site sportsbook in July this year. Kansas Crossing Casino + Hotel, owned by JNB Gaming and Laham Development, opened a retail sportsbook in partnership with Caesars in May, just three hours from Prairie Band Casino & Resort.

Prairie Band Casino & Resort’s new sportsbook will include 10 sports wagering kiosks and four bar top terminals featuring Kambi’s Bet Builder. It will be added to the 35,000-square-feet casino as part of a multi-year partnership.

Chris Garrow, Director of Gaming for Prairie Band Casino & Resort, said, “When sports betting was legalized in Kansas last year, we received so many positive comments and questions from our guests. [They were] mostly asking when we start offering it, and we continue to get those questions. Now, we finally will be able to answer those questions with certainty.

“We are excited to launch our retail sportsbook as another amenity for our guests to ‘play your way.’”
