Gaming America speaks to Chris Wieners, Velvix MD, about industry trends and the process behind designing new games.

What are you looking forward to exhibiting at G2E this year?

At the show, we are excited to showcase our four latest game titles: Screaming Mansion, Scorching Million, Boogie For The Money LINK Mystery Fever and Nudge Master. These new titles are fun, and relatively less volatile than our previous game titles. Players can expect lots of actions in the base game, random surprises and a brand-new community feature in the Boogie For The Money LINK series.

What sort of R&D has gone into the creation of these four latest games?

At Velvix, we believe it’s crucial to incorporate UX research when it comes to designing new products. By understanding player behavior and preferences through our research, it allows us to identify what aspects of the game attract and retain players. We strive to create high-quality graphics, animations and sound effects for our games. The aim is to create visually appealing and immersive experiences for players through art and design. Quality assurance, extensive testing and iterations are conducted throughout the development process. Our R&D team constantly gather feedback from internal and external sources, to identify and fix any issues or areas for improvement.

What trends are you seeing in the overall market when it comes to new slot games?

  • Random bonus features: Non-symbol-driven trigger mechanism (with appropriate anticipation animation) has gained popularity over the years. These can occur during base game and excites players with additional awards.
  • Community features: Integrate social interaction among players to enhance the overall player experience.
  • Buy bonus feature: Some games allow players to instantly purchase the feature instead of waiting for them to trigger naturally.

What is Velvix hoping to achieve in the next year?

Over the upcoming year, Velvix is poised to concentrate its efforts on achieving several key objectives. Primarily, Velvix aims to enhance player satisfaction and retention by consistently delivering a top-notch gaming experience, responsive customer support and engaging gameplay that keeps players invested and content. Additionally, the company is dedicated to elevating its brand recognition by effectively communicating its identity, values and offerings to a wider audience, thereby solidifying its presence in the market. Moreover, Velvix strives to emphasize innovation and uniqueness in its game development, introducing novel concepts and features that set its offerings apart and captivate players’ interests. Lastly, the company aims to expand its market share, employing strategic initiatives that attract new customers and foster sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive gaming landscape.
