She will aid in overseeing responsible gaming efforts throughout the US sports betting market.

Epic Risk Management has named Teresa Fiore as its new VP of Partnerships as part of its strategic US expansion plan. Her duties in this role include working with the company’s key partners to create and maintain safe spaces in all forms of sports betting.

Her appointment followes the recent addition of Rachael Jankowsky, Dr Meg Popovic and Mike Riley to the Epic Risk Management Pro Sport Advisory Board (PSAB), bringing its total to 10 members.

Prior to joining Epic, Fiore worked for PointsBet as the company’s Responsible Gaming and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager. She also represented the Massachusetts Gaming Commission as its Program Manager of Research and Responsible Gaming for five years.

While with the Massachusetts regulator, she managed responsible gambling programs for land-based casinos statewide.

Company CEO Paul Buck noted that the decision to appoint Fiore to this role is key to ongoing US company growth.

He commented, "This appointment is a key marker of the expansion that Epic continues to make within the US.

"We're delighted to bring Teresa's extensive knowledge and vital experience into our organization and value the perspective that she can bring from both a regulatory and industry angle."

Fiore described her new position as an opportunity to help the company expand throughout the US.

She said, "I'm very excited to start as the VP of partnerships, overseeing the growth in the US market, which is obviously a huge opportunity for Epic.

"I have known and think very highly of the Epic team for a number of years, and we're very much aligned in our thinking and approach to safer gambling."
