The agreement will allow the company to expand throughout Latin America with the Brazilian brand.

Better Collective has acquired the Brazilian sports media company, Torcedores.com. This move is the latest effort in Better Collective's M&A strategy and its expansion within the Latin American market.

Torcedores.com’s sports media platform focuses on providing sports fans with soccer content but also covers esports, tennis, volleyball and basketball.

Per the terms of the deal, Better Collective will take over all Torcedores.com’s operations and will gain the company’s smaller assets as well.

Better Collective South America CEO Simon Hovmand-Stilling noted that this is the company’s first Brazilian brand and said Better Collective is now poised to strengthen its relationships with its current partners.

He commented, “I am truly excited to be welcoming Torcedores.com as our first sports media brand in Brazil.

“The sports brand complements our strategic position in the region and will expand our reach and sports content production – which in turn will make us even more relevant to our partners."

He went on to discuss the significance of the LatAm market on future company expansion.

Hovmand-Stilling said in closing, “South America, and more specifically Brazil, is an important growth driver for Better Collective and fits perfectly with our vision of becoming the leading digital sports media group.

“The Brazilian market represents significant growth opportunities for the group, as we are looking to apply our M&A and market entry strategy proven to be successful in both Europe and North America to grow our presence in the Brazilian sports media market.

"To build a leading position, localization and strong media brands are key ingredients – acquiring Torcedores.com fits perfectly into that strategy.”
