Former National Football League (NFL) star tight end Vernon Davis is partnering with Hollywood executives Henry Penzi and Josh Webber and serial entrepreneur Paul Van Kleef to launch a new AI sports prediction platform.
The subscription-based platform, to be called Smart Picks, uses machine-learning algorithms to predict the outcome of sporting events. It’s trailed with more than 150 factors to determine the results of each event.
To start, Smart Picks will offer predictive outcomes for the 2023 NFL season. It will later expand to other professional sports.
Davis, a Super Bowl winner who played for the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos and Washington Commanders during his 14-year career, said, “The sports betting landscape has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, with AI emerging as a powerful force in the industry.
"Our team is obsessed with being on the cutting edge of innovation in the AI Space, and our platform has the potential to revolutionize the way people approach sports betting by providing more accurate predictions and better strategies for making successful wagers.”
A subscription to Smart Picks includes unlimited access to picks.
Davis said, “We expect to be the largest and most advanced sports prediction platform online, consistently staying ahead of the bookmaker's odds with our evolving daily AI development team and marketing edge.”
Penzi is a former child actor and personal assistant to Mark Wahlberg. He's the founder and CEO of Pay It Forward Entertainment, a management and production company that represents Carmen Electra, Joseph Baena, Rob Gronkowski, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Paul “The Big Show” Wright, Tyson Fury and others.
Webber is a director, producer and screenwriter who has worked with Dennis Quaid, Dove Cameron, Tom Sizemore, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and others.
Van Kleef has been starting businesses since his early 20s. He was behind Zapplight and Nannocare.
