Great Canadian Entertainment has opened its latest destination in the Canadian province of Ontario. The Hotel at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is located near the Toronto Pearson International Airport and is home to more than 400 guest rooms, as well as a casino.
Players can now access the resort’s 328,000 square-foot gaming floor, which is home to sports betting kiosks, 145 tables game and 4,800 slot machines. The casino also features VIP rooms and a poker room that will open later this summer.
Upon its debut, the poker room will give players a wide variety of options that include a private floor with 30 tables, as well as electronic tables games, slots and gameplay for those who are looking for “no limit” and “limit” stakes.
Great Canadian Entertainment affirmed its commitment to environmental responsibility and said the new resort reflects that focus.
The group said in a statement, “As a commitment to environmental sustainability, Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto showcases a stunning 250,000 square feet of green roof, the second largest in Canada. Solar panel canopies further reduce the site's carbon footprint, and electric vehicle parking spots are available for eco-conscious guests.”
The new resort is also home to two PlaySmart Centers on the casino floor that offer players access to responsible gambling tools and resources. Materials include information on OLG’s My PlayBreak program, which is designed for players who want to take a voluntary break from gambling.
The grand opening of Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto marked the 13th location the company has opened in Ontario. The group currently operates 12 other casino resort locations within the province, including the recently opened Pickering Casino Resort Hotel, a 275-room resort just east of downtown Toronto.
