Nevada in June: $1.25bn total gaming revenue reported

Slots made up $846.2m of total revenue in June.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has posted its revenue report for June, showing that it made $1.25bn in total gaming revenue across the state – which is a 2% fall.

Table, counter and card games generated $409.6m, which saw a 7% decrease year-on-year, and slots made $846.2m. Total revenue made from slots remained stagnant year-on-year.

As displayed in the graph below, multi-denomination and one-cent slot machines dominate the revenue generated from slots, with the two being responsible for a combined revenue of $741.4m.

All of the slots saw a dip in revenue year-on-year, except multi-denomination, which went against the status quo and saw an increase of 13%.

In Nevada, the most popular type of dollar slot is one-cent slot machines, which made $255.2m in revenue, and one-dollar slot machines, which made $54.3m. However, one-cent machines saw a 15% drop from last year and one-dollar machines saw a decrease of 10% from last year.

The revenue report shows that pai gow has a percentage increase of 515%; however, it only has a small win amount of $0.4m. The game that saw the highest percentage increase next to pai gow was ultimate texas hold'em poker, with a 29% rise year-on-year and revenue of $18.1m.

Baccarat also saw a big decrease in revenue year-on-year of 30%, even though it is one of the highest-earning table counter and card games, bringing in revenue of $100.5m. The highest earner is blackjack, which brought in revenue of $104m for the month of June and remains still as popular as ever, increasing 16% year-on-year.
