He brings nearly 30 years of hospitality industry experience to the position.

Curio Collection by Hilton’s Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has named Cliff Atkinson as its resort casino President. Atkinson will officially step into this role on July 31.

JC Hospitality’s board released a statement that outlined the qualities the casino resort looked for in its next leader.

The group said, “It was important to our board to find a leader that possessed not only the knowledge and experience required to drive results at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, but also the reputation and personality needed to lead and inspire the amazing team that exists on property.

“Cliff is that type of leader, and we’re excited to support him as he leads the charge to realize the tremendous potential of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.”

Atkinson has worked in the hospitality industry for almost three decades. During this lengthy career, he has served in leadership roles for notable hotels around the US, including Luxor Hotel & Casino, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Gramercy Park Hotel.

Atkinson also held a position with MGM Resorts International and served in a corporate capacity for the company’s Hospitality Center of Excellence.

As President, Atkinson will collaborate with Virgin’s executive team. Atkinson said he is eager to take on this responsibility and to aid the venue in reaching its “full potential.”

He commented, “I am honored to have this opportunity to lead the incredible team at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

“The iconic off-Strip property is a legendary resort with a rich history and bright future, and I look forward to working with the team to help realize Virgin Hotels Las Vegas’ full potential.”
