He has served as a Board member since 2018.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has named Dave Forestell as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Forestell first joined the Board in 2018 as a member.

Forestell took on the role of presiding Chair of the AGCO’s subsidiary, the Board of iGaming Ontario (iGO), which was established in July 2021. But he has now stepped down from iGO’s Chair role to fully commit to becoming the AGCO’s Chair.

The AGCO said it is currently in the process of appointing a new Chair for iGO.

Forestell holds a BA and LLB from Western University. During his career, Forestell has held multiple senior leadership positions in both government and in the private sector. He currently works for TC Energy as the group’s VP, External Relations (Canada).

Forestell previously served at Scotiabank in various roles, including VP, International Corporate and Commercial Banking, VP, Office of the President and as its CEO.

He has also worked in Chile and Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish. During his time in Chile, Forestell aided several mining projects as a leader in corporate affairs and in social responsibility. In addition to those roles, Forestell served as a Joint Venture Board of Directors Chair.

Along with his position at TC Energy, Forestell is part of the board at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. He currently serves on the university’s Board of Governors.

In other related news, the AGCO recently granted Rootz Limited a license. The approval gives Ontario players access to four of Rootz casino brands, including Wildz, Wheelz and Caxino, as well as to the streaming brand Spinz.
