The supplier has focused on improving social and environmental conditions for the past 16 years.

International Game Technology (IGT) has published its 2022 Sustainability Report, which outlines steps the company has taken to advance its environmental, social and governance (ESG) measures throughout the year.

The company has moved closer to its goals through its Sustainable Play initiatives. This year’s report focused on four key strategies IGT has put in place to reach its ESG goals, including valuing and protecting people, advancing responsibility, supporting communities and fostering sustainable operations.

Part of IGT’s commitment to supporting its staff and community involved adding a Human Rights Policy Statement to its employee training materials. The company reported a 97% completion rate among its employees.

The company also focused on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) by making efforts toward empowering women and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

However, this is nothing new for the company. IGT has worked toward improving environmental conditions for more than a decade.

Company CEO Vince Sadusky explained this further by saying, "This marks the 16th consecutive year that IGT has released its Sustainability Report, demonstrating the Company's comprehensive sustainability initiatives and the positive impacts they have on our people and the planet.

"With a strong foundation centered around Sustainable Play and priorities aligned with UN Global Compact principles and Sustainable Development Goals, IGT continues to make considerable progress as an industry leader in global sustainability as we build a more sustainable business for the future."

IGT recently released a series of gaming solutions at Arizona’s Santan Mountain Casino. The facility can now link its 800 slot machines to the IGT Advantage casino management system.
