The event will take place on July 16.

Mohegan Sun is hosting its first-ever Race Players Appreciation Day. The event will take place on July 16 from 1pm-5pm at Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook.

All guests must be 21+ to enter Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook. Food & beverage minimums may apply.

The event will be for free, as will the drinks. Food will also be available and wagering vouchers will be up for grabs in a giveaway too. Plus, a red carpet will also be rolled out to honor the attending horseracing enthusiasts.

Mohegan Sun is home to two casinos, 1,600 hotel rooms, two spas, a golf course and over 70 shops, restaurants and bars as well as three entertainment venues.

On the mic will be racing event host Mike ‘Mut’ Mutnansky. Mutnansky has been the Host of Major Racing Events for Mohegan Sun since 2011 and has worked as a sports talk show host on multiple platforms from 2005-2022.

Horseracing fans can also take advantage of a complimentary book signing with the author of ‘Betting on Horse Racing for Dummies’, Richard Eng, with books available to buy for the signing at the venue.

Guests will also have the chance to partake in a meet and greet with professional Canadian jockey Chantal Sutherland.

Sutherland is the only Canadian-born female jockey to reach the 1,000-win plateau. She was also a finalist for the 2009 Sovereign Awards for Outstanding Jockey of the Year and is often referred to as the Danica Patrick of horseracing.

Last month, Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook hosted a viewing of “Test the Champion,” which was Belmont Stakes' 155th run on June 10.
