Players will have access to 10 kiosks throughout the facility.

Nebraska’s WarHorse Casino Lincoln will debut its retail sportsbook location on Thursday, according to a local report in the Lincoln Journal Star. The casino’s sportsbook will feature 10 self-service kiosks spread out across the destination, along with a customer service window.

The sportsbook is the result of a recent partnership between WarHorse and Kambi Group. The duo has hired Jason Johnston to run the Lincoln sportsbook location. Johnston previously served as BetMGM’s Sportsbook Manager.

WarHorse Gaming is a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk Inc. Kambi Group is a global sportsbook supplier and operates in more than 20 US states.

Ho-Chunk CEO Lance Morgan told the Journal Star that Nebraska has been open to a sports betting market for the last few years.

He commented, “Nebraskans have been asking for the opportunity to wager on sports since the ballot initiatives were passed in 2020.

“We’re thrilled to be the first casino in the state to offer sports betting.”

WarHorse Gaming is currently regulated by the Nebraska Gaming Commission. The brand opened its Lincoln temporary casino last fall. The destination currently features 433 slot machines.

The company said it will open a permanent casino in Lincoln toward the end of 2024.

In other WarHorse Gaming news, the brand and recently announced plans to begin construction on its Omaha casino next month. The company said the temporary casino is scheduled to open by June or July 2024.

Once completed, the Omaha casino will feature nearly 1,200 slot machines and 20 table games, as well as both live and simulcast horseracing. WarHorse said it plans to launch another sportsbook at the Omaha casino.
