Fontainebleau Las Vegas, due to open on The Strip in December 2023, has announced the appointments of its new President, Chief Casino Marketing Officer and SVP of People. These executives will guide the resort, a joint development by Koch Real Estate Investments and Fontainebleau Development, through its upcoming grand opening and thereafter.
Mark Tricano will assume the role of resort President, currently held by Brett Mufson. He brings 20 years of gaming and hospitality experience, with previous executive roles in companies such as Caesars Entertainment, Galaxy Entertainment Group and Station Casinos.
His most recent role was as Galaxy Entertainment’s SVP of Gaming Development and Optimization Services, Labor Planning and Hotel Revenue Management. His team comprised over 13,000 employees, his role required revenue management of 4,000 hotel rooms and he oversaw labor strategy and operations for $7.5bn in gross gaming revenue.
Tricano said, “I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me, and the recognition of my love and commitment to the Las Vegas hospitality industry.”
Michelle Reda has also been appointed as Chief Casino Marketing Officer, with 25 years’ industry experience, including 13 years with Wynn Resorts. She also worked with both Caesars Entertainment and Station Casinos, like Tricano, serving as Director of National Casino Marketing and Corporate SVP of Casino Marketing, respectively, for the two brands.
A further executive has been promoted from her 2022 role of VP of People to SVP of People. Kimberley Virtuoso will oversee Fontainebleau’s human resources and online recruitment portal. She previously served as Director of Corporate Human Resources for MGM Resorts International.
Fontainebleau Development is a hospitality and real estate investment group founded by Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Soffer, with leadership from Mufson.
Mufson said of the new appointments, “Our executives have all proven to be extraordinary leaders throughout their careers. We are thrilled to welcome them to Fontainebleau, as we look to establish ourselves to a new generation of guests.”
Wynn Resorts also recently extended executive contracts of both its CEO, Craig Billings, and CFO, Julie Cameron-Doe.
